The International Sogo Budo Federation (ISBF) is a global organization dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of genuine, classical martial sciences. The ISBF promotes training, collaboration and cultural exchange throughout the world using these traditional martial sciences. Our goal is to promote greater understanding of martial sciences by exploding the myths that surround public perceptions of martial arts by providing insight, advice and resources for the martial science professional.
Sogobudo is Martial Science - a time tested and battle proven martial training philosophy that goes beyond martial artistry. The principles of sogobudo transcend many modern concepts of martial style and utility, instead focusing on the militaristic and scientific core of combat training. Sport or competitive aspects of martial arts are generally not emphasized.
The ISBF promotes cultural exchange through the application of martial sciences. Through cross training and affiliation with a diverse set of martial strategies, ISBF affiliate dojo consistently output highly trained, professional martial practitioners and instructors that have revitalized modern martial training and studies for thousands of students around the globe.
